Title page (1683) with architectural border featuring printer’s device and elaborate red-ruling. Text in two column Roman. Apocrypha not included. New Testament title page (1683) printed with red-ruled border. Bound with The Whole Book of Psalms with printed title page (1683) and printer’s device. Various woodcut first chapter initials and head- and tailpieces.

A^2, B-Z^6, Aa-Zz^6, Aaa-Ooo^6, Ppp^4, A-S^6, T^4. Complete with title pages.

Binding

Contemporary black morocco with gilt paneled boards. English Restoration binding, panels with fillets, corner fleurons, and wavy leafy stems in gilt, fern fronds in blind, panels with small gilt flowers to inner corners and acorns at head and foot. Spine with five raised bands and elaborate gilt tooling to compartments. Marbled endpapers. Inner dentelles. All edges gilt.

Condition

A bright, clean copy; Yy6 lower marginal loss; rubbed; light fading to spine; corners and edges a little worn.
