Description
The Book of Common Prayer lacking the preliminaries. Lacks the general title page. Text in two column black letter. Apocrypha included as issued. New Testament title page (1621) engraved within woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Concludes with colophon (1621) and tailpiece. Bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes with printed title page (1623) and printer’s device. Various woodcut first chapter initials and head- and tailpieces.

A^8, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Sss^8. Lacks general title.
Binding
Contemporary boards with brown polished calf, retaining five corner pieces, one hasp, one central boss, and a portion of one backstrip. Crudely rebacked with later brown calf. Evidence of clasps.
Condition
Rubbed and scuffed but holding firmly; BCP with first two extant leaves frayed; edges soiled; Bbb2 loss of one line of text to outer column; Bbb staining to text; NT title with few tears and edges chipped; Psalter lacks all after Psalm 150 with remnant of four subsequent leaves thereafter; overall a clean text with good margins throughout.
Provenance
“Richard Wyeth” and “Elizabeth Wyeth” with a date of 1726 on final page or Revelation. A birth record of William from 1635 is also recorded on this page in a neat contemporary hand.
