Binding
Rebound in light brown half calf. Plain endpapers. All edges red.
Condition
Rubbed; rear joint starting but holding firm; occasional marginal staining; first leaf of Genesis soiled, repaired to lower margin without loss; Kkkk4 lower corner loss with missing seven lines replaced in facsimile.
Provenance
Ex-libris bookplate of Daphne Du Maurier; “Jhon Tayler his book God give him grec ther oun look” to upper margin of C4 in genealogies.
Note
The first small folio edition of the King James Bible and this copy well-preserved and complete. According to Scrivener this was the earliest edition to see any significant revision.
