Description
The Book of Common Prayer lacking the title page and preliminaries. The Genealogies with printed title page by J[ohn] S[peed], complete with double-page map of Canaan. The general title page (1613) engraved within woodcut border comprising twenty-four compartments showing the tents of the twelve tribes as well as the figures of the twelve apostles. Title is enclosed within a heart-shaped frame. Text in two column black letter. Both titles omit the words “appointed.” Ruth 3:15 with “she went…” Apocrypha included as issued. New Testament title page (1614) with border like the general title. Concludes with colophon (1614) and tailpiece. Bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes with printed title page (1614), lacking the final leaf of the Prayers as common. Various woodcut first chapter initials and head- and tailpieces.

A^8, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Sss^8. Complete with both title pages.
Binding
Contemporary sheep rebacked in brown calf. Spine with five blind-lined raised bands and a morocco label with the words “Holy Bible” and 1613-14 in gilt to bottom of spine. Endpapers renewed.
Condition
Rubbed; trimmed at head with some headlines cropped; light dust-soiling and infrequent staining; a couple of leaves of the BCP with marginal repairs; Genealogies with title page repaired to margins with ruled border in facsimile; next leaf with lower corner repair; woodcut map with early manuscript to margins and repair to upper blank margin; A1-3 lower loss with tissue repair; title page of Psalter with repaired closed tear.
