Printed New Testament title page (1582) with woodcut of the Red Sea. Fold-out map of the Countries and Places Mentioned in Acts inserted at Acts 1. Bible text ends with printer’s device and the Two Tables. Bound with The Whole Booke of Psalmes (1583) by Sternhold and Hopkins with architectural border, lacks all after Psalm 134. First chapter woodcut initials throughout. Fourteen page hand-written overview of the Geneva Bible laid in.

Binding
Rebound in late nineteenth century in brown morocco. Boards with double black-lined panels and fleurons. Spine with five raised bands and black-lines and fleurons to compartments with the title “Holy Bible” and “1582” lettered in gilt. All edges red. Later green marbled endpapers.
Condition
Generally clean and bright throughout; A1,2 repair to gutter and fore-edge with loss to sidenotes; A3,4 loss to fore-edge costing a letter of sidenotes; a few headlines occasionally cropped; Rr4 upper closed tear without loss; Aaa6 small burn hole costing two letters; one marginal tear; final two extant leaves of Psalter repaired to fore-edge.
