An 1866 Prayer Book with the Book of Common Prayer, the Psalms of David, and the New Testament. This 32mo book of Church Services begins with the Prayer Book and the Psalms in single column Roman font. The text of the New Testament is presented in double column Roman font. Text throughout within ruled border. Bound in attractive brown embossed paneled calf. Spine with four raised bands and tooling to compartments and the words “Church Services” in gilt. Boards with center “IHS” motif in gilt and brass edgework. Lacks clasp. All edges gilt. Inner dentelles.
Condition
“Victoria Hutton W.G.S, 1951” inked in neat hand on front endpaper. Pages are crisp, clean, and bright. Lightly rubbed with spine lightly worn. A few small scratches to the gilt but a firm and solid copy of a lovely book.
