A lovely two volume prayer book bound in dark red full morocco and fine gilt tooling to the boards and compartments. Text in two column Roman type. All edges gilt. Inner dentelles.
Condition
Inscribed to front flyleaf of both volumes reading “M.R.E. the Gif of her Affectionate Mother January 23, 1842.” Very clean, bright and tight throughout. Both volumes slightly splayed and lightly rubbed. Corners very lightly bumped, but overall a very attractive set.
