Printed New Testament title (1660) within border. Bound with Downame’s A Brief Concordance (1652) with printed title page by W. Du-Gard for N. Bourn.

Binding
Contemporary brown paneled calf with elaborate gilt tooling to boards. Expertly rebacked with six raised bands and gilt-tooling to compartments. Two working clasps with one recently supplied to match the original. Armorial bookplate of Prudhomme family to front pastedown. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. The binding is very likely the work of the John Fletcher whose floral tools and leafy sprays match those attributed to him housed in the British Library.

Bottom corner of title page repaired with small loss to border; very infrequent staining in places; wide margins and bright red-ruling; a clean and crisp text.
