A King James 1613/1612 - Quarto Roman Font - 'She' Bible in a VERY GOOD+ and EXQUISITELY RESTORED condition. Well preserved over almost 4 centuries -  King James Bibles printed with the 'she' text in Ruth 3:15 ("... and she went into the city" ). This is also one of the first quarto edition of the KJV ever printed. Title: "The Holy Bible, containing the Old Teftament, and the New: Newly Tranflated out of the Originall Tongues: And with the former tranflations diligently compared and revifed, By his Majefties fpeciall commandement, Imprinted at London By Robert Barker, Printer to the Kings moft Excellent Maieftie. ANNO 1613." The New Testament title page (dated 1612) is within historiated  woodcut borders; woodcuts depict 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples.

This Bible was recently and wonderfully restored, conserved and rebound in beautiful dark brown leather. Features four raised cords that creates a five compartmented spine with gold medallions, "Holy Bible " and "1613 / 12". The covers are also wonderfully decorated in the period style with blind stamped lines and floral accents. Beautiful handmade marbled endpapers complete the restoration of this ancient treasure very nicely. Could be used as a daily reader with no condition concerns.
