THE BINDING is a LAVISH
near contemporary smooth red goatskin leather. The boards are deeply
gilded to borders with continuous patterns of crowns, crosses and
floral rolls. The spine is profusely gilded in plain diamond effect
patterns. The board edges and inner margins are gilt etched (dentelle.)
Finished with fine yellow, red & green marbled end papers.

in an overall VERY GOOD to DAILY USABLE condition.
THE PAGES ARE
EXCEPTIONALLY CRISP, CLEAN and INTACT !!! There is a stain to the
top part of 70% of the NT as seen. The spine is creased to the
centre. There is a stain to the lower outer corner of the front
board. Light wear to corners and light surface wear to spine
extremities. Small nick of leather missing near foot of reverse
board long edge. The TEXT BLOCK is VERY GOOD and SQUARE. The page
edges are BRIGHTLY GILDED.
