Bound with original leather covers
and remaining hardware, 1620, very early (only
after the first edition of the KJV was first published) and quarto-sized King James
Holy Bible, bound with the Apocrypha, both (VERY extensive)
Concordances and a metric Psalter. Has retained all brass bosses,
clasp remnants and central pieces. The Bible text is printed in double
columns in Gothic - black letter - font.
General Title (1620),
with the epistle dedicatory, letter to the reader, and the names and
order of the bookes, the complete Old Testament, Apocrypha and New Testament (with title
page 1621 but LACKS 1 JOHN 5 through Revelation!),
and two right profitable and fruitful concordances (By Robert F Herry, with title
1622). All with various woodcuts, colophons and decorated first
chapter initials. Next a Booke of Psalms (separate title 1623), with
Psalms/Hymns with musical bars (lacking
after Psalm 110)

page is a woodcut-engraved title with words in a sort of heart shape
in the center; woodcuts depict 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples.
This quarto sized Bible is in
an overall VERY GOOD and DAILY USABLE condition. The binding is
Quite clean pages with some occasional smudges, smaller tears,
scribbles etc. All complete with prelims etc, but the NT LACKS
everything after 1 John 5.
Still a VERY nice and attractive
Bible with original leather and hardware.
