BINDING Geneva version of the Holy Bible printed by Robert Barker,
1600, London. Book measures 8 3/4 by 6 3/4 inches. (10) 554 leaves,
82 leaves. WORK IS COMPLETE. This is the first Bible to be printed
following the death of his father (Christopher Barker) the previous
[Geneva - Breeches - Bible],
"The Bible, Tranflated according to the Ebrew and Greeke, and conferred with the
beft Tranflations in diuers languages. With most profitable
annotations vpon all the hard places, and other things of great
importance as may appear in the Epiftle to the Reader. And alfo a
moft profitable Concordance for the ready findong out of anything in
the fame conteined. ... Imprinted at London by Robert Barker,
Printer to the Queenes moft Excellent Maiestie 1600"

title pages. Also title to the Concordances (Tables). Decorated
first chapter initials and colophons.
Provenance: Bears the signature on pg 57 of Richard Middleton
educated at Jesus College in Oxford he as the son of the Bishop of
St. Davids. He was the arch deacon of Brecon in 1600.
Condition: VERY GOOD and DAILY USABLE condition. There are 8 page
mispaginations in the book but is complete. 4 inch tear on pg 205.
Burn hole on 186. Two pages in the last section missing bottom right
hand corner margin affecting small area of text. 4 other indications
of closed tears mostly to the margins. Book has been respined still
having the original boards. One clasp is intact and the other is not
present. Great handsome 1600 Bible!
