Bible in a VERY GOOD/well preserved condition, containing the Old and New Testaments
and the Apocrypha. Printed in London by
Robert Barker. The Bible
text is printed in 2 columns per page in Black letter font with the
famous extensive Geneva commentary notes (in Roman font).
"The Bible: Tranflated according to the
Hebrew and Greeke, and conferred with the beft
diuers Languages. With moft profitable Annotations
vpon all the hard places, and other things of great
importance, as may appeare in the Epiftle to the Reader, And also a
moft profitable Concordance for the ready finding out of any thing
in the fame conteined. Imprinted at London by Robert Barker, Printer to the
Kings moft excellent Maieftie 1615."
The Bible is complete, including
the general title, the Apocrypha and the New Testament title (dated
1615) as well as the prelim pages. Various colophons.
The Bible's binding is nicely
restored in a more modern day style red-brown leather with in gold
letters on the spine 'The Bible - 1615'.
This QUARTO sized Geneva Bible is
in an overall VERY GOOD and DAILY USABLE condition. Its binding
is daily usable quality and opens/reads easily. Complete Bible and well preserved.
Typical use-related wear to
the pages and some soiling, light foxing, few small tears etc. Some previous ownership/provenance
notes throughout. Nice margins around the pages.
