A nicely preserved, 1615 Quarto-size, attractively (antiquarian quality) rebound Geneva (Breeches) Holy Bible in a VERY GOOD condition, containing the Old and New Testaments with the Apocrypha and Concordances (2 Tables).  Printed in London by the renowned Robert Barker.
The Geneva Bible is often referred to as the 'Breeches' Bible because of its translation in Genesis 3:7 as "and they sowed figge-tree leaves together, and made themselves breeches" (the KJV has "aprons").
"The Bible: Translated According to the Hebrew and Greek, and Conferred with the Best Translations in Divers (various) Languages. With Most Profitable Annotations Upon All Hard Places and Other Things of Great Importance as May Appear in the Epistle to the Reader. And also a most profitable Concordance, for the ready finding out of any thing in the same contained."
The Bible is complete with all titles (General Title and New Testament Title). The preliminary pages are present, like  'to the Christian Reader', 'How to take profit of the Scriptures', 'the Summe of the Whole Scriptures', 'Certain Questions and Answers about the doctrine of Predestination'.
Also bound with the compete Apocrypha and the two extensive tables (concordances) at the back
Recently rebound in half leather covers with wooden boards and a 4 band spine with the text 'Holy Bible - 1615'.
This QUARTO sized Geneva Bible is in an overall VERY GOOD and DAILY USABLE condition. nice binding. Complete Bible. repaired half of general title missing. Average wear and some soiling, light foxing, various previous ownership scribbles and provenance throughout. Fair margins around the pages (occasionally cutting into the headers). Some cut corners etc. Various other smaller damages throughout. There is some browning/fraying of page edges/cropped headlines.
