A rather unique and very attractive thirty (30) volume, numbered set of small books covering the complete Holy Bible - Old and New Testament, published in the 1920s by the Little Leather Library Corporation of New York. Each small book has a brown leather cover. The set is presented in a beautiful (original - as issued with the Bible set) cedar chest. Each book has a beautiful dark brown embossed leather cover, in raised lettering on each book is stamped “The Holy Bible,” also on each cover is the book(s) of the bible contained in the volume. In raised lettering on the spine are the book of the bible and the volume number from 1 - 30. The Little Leather Library Corporation of New York was founded in 1916 by Albert Bone, Harry Scherman and Maxwell Sackiem. It was one of the first attempts to mass-market inexpensive literary classics in the United States.
The condition of the books varies from VERY GOOD (VG) to EXCELLENT (E). A few books have somewhat loose binding but most a in a very good condition. Some creases and signs of wear (as to be expected). No writing in the books, no staining or other damages. Overall a VERY UNIQUE set!
