The Book of Common Prayer-Complete with 1679 Title page and opposite frontispiece of King Charles II-Contains a few of the more than 115 total illustrations throughout. Not included in the illustration numbering for the Bible's illustrations. Gunpowder Treason and Charles the Martyr. Complete and nice and tight. The Bible-General Title dated 1671-with a Cuts identifier Many Illustrations throughout the Old Testament. Apocrypha-Complete and including Historical Illustrations. New Testament-Title page dated 1675 nice and before and after are illustrations of the Apostles and also Apostles' Creed. Closing out this special Bible is a 1676 Psalms in Meter-Sternhold and Hopkins. All Books Complete with some special woodcuts at some endings-see photos.
VERY GOOD condition. Nice burgundy leather boards - full leather. Binding holding very well. Stamping on boards and center spine very discernible with the nice binding. Center Spine which is extra wide has some very slight hairline cracks. Also joints have very small cracks, but all joints, binding and pages are very tight. All pages seem to be very tight to the binding. Marbled red and blank endpapers. ..Blank front page has Margaret Harbuth.... her book-1689. back leaf has writing about receiving the Bible....Some pages have slight browning-a few have some spots. Illustrations are exquisite and very nice!!!!!
